About This Place

Located at 4850 Beacon Ave S in Seattle, Lucky Seafood is a hidden gem for anyone seeking the freshest seafood at unbeatable prices. This family-run seafood market, nestled in a quirky former gas station mini market, offers an authentic and intimate shopping experience that stands out in the bustling Seattle seafood scene.

What makes Lucky Seafood truly special is its commitment to selling only seafood that’s in season, ensuring absolute freshness and quality. Whether you’re after coral shrimp, Dungeness crab, oysters, or even live lobsters and eels, this market has it all—still lively and ready for your next seafood feast. Customers consistently praise the variety and vitality of their offerings, with Kevin Zhu noting the impressive selection and value that surpasses other markets in the greater Seattle area.

One of the most memorable aspects of shopping here is the friendly and knowledgeable staff who are eager to help you find exactly what you need. Jiahan Liu highlights their helpful attitude, making the buying process easy and enjoyable, even for first-timers or those a little intimidated by cooking fresh seafood. The small, family-run atmosphere lends a genuine warmth that feels far from the usual sterile market environment.

Many shoppers love visiting Lucky Seafood to pick up live seafood to cook at home and share with friends. Benny Lam captures that perfectly, celebrating the joy of cooking fresh seafood yourself and the great prices that make entertaining a pleasure rather than a headache. Meanwhile, Rainu Strike and his girlfriend appreciate the range, with favorites including tiny shrimp and fresh oysters—two ingredients full of flavor and oceanic delight.

While the store’s no-photo rule keeps its rustic charm intact, Kimberly Pham’s review gives insight into the gutsy adventure of cooking “giggling” seafood straight from this market. It’s not just about buying fish here; it’s about connecting with the life and soul of the sea in a way that transforms cooking into an experience.

For seafood lovers eager to bring the freshest catch home, Lucky Seafood offers a perfect blend of quality, affordability, and genuine local character. It’s a place where you can feel confident about your purchase and inspired to create unforgettable meals that celebrate the bounty of the Pacific Northwest.

No photo is allowed in the store so all I have is one pic! This place is located in an old gas station mini market. The people here are friendly. I m guessing is a small family-run business. The price of everything here is the best I have seen. They have crab, shrimp, lobster, clam, fish, oysters, and eel. Everything still giggles so you have to be brave enough to cook them. I'm usually terrified at it so I don't buy lobster or crab or fish. The shrimp is pretty much not moving anymore when I get home so I was able to be ok. Besides the above, the place is clean and only accepts cash!

The seafood here is fresher and also cheaper than at supermarkets. It’s a bit of a drive, but well worth it—last time I bought crab, coral shrimp, and abalone, and everything tastes good.
